Funky

Ok, I’ve cleaned my kitchen, my living room has nothing non-sanitary in it, the garbage is tossed, there are no flowers in my apartment: what is that funky odor in my living room? I don’t want to cover it up, I want it gone. Thoughts?

Have you checked for corpses in nearby units?

Well, there is the van Zombie family next door. They seem to chant a lot...

I think its coming from the kitchen sink. How do I fix that?

1. If you have a Garbage disposal, use it.

2. If not, stop using the sink like you do, you probably have some rotting food chunks in the drain.

3. Draino may or may not help.

4. Find an honest plumber or tell your landlord that you clogged the thing.

Pour baking soda down the drain. Or 1/2 cup clorox bleach. It may be your carpets. Pour powdered baking soda on the carpets, sweep it in, then vacuum. Check under the refrigerator for stuff. Is the plastic garbage can dirty inside? Are there rotting potatos somewhere? Spray lysol spray around the baseboards, and in garbage cans.

We might want to let Steve know as there was that weird problem with the clog last month it might be an extension of whatever that was.

If it's not a clog but just a bad odor coming from the disposal, then grind a couple of oranges in it. Citris seems to kill sink smells the best.

1. Find person on street.
2. Drag them into your house, and ask, "Where's that smell coming from?"

Failing the kindness of strangers...
1. Go outside yourself.
2. Stay out as long as you can, so your nose is totally cleaned out.
3. Return, and track down smell.

Have any used furniture? A used throw rug? Starting to be suspicious about why it was such a good deal?
